Third Party Professional Development

The NBRT program may also support members to attend external activities that offer value to the individual and the program. This is determined on a case-by-case basis. Members that are supported to attend third party events are expected to complete a feedback form (available below) and may be asked to share their learnings with the cohort.

Some third-party professional development (PD) opportunities that are supported by the program are listed below. Members can also apply for the program to support their attendance at opportunities relevant to their role on the NBRT not listed below. The Emergency Management Public Affairs (EMPA) 2025 Conference

EMPA exists to lead and support the evolution of effective communication and community engagement before, during and after emergencies, by providing a network for all who practise and research in this sector.
