In 2024 the NBRT Advisory Group convened to discuss and plan the NBRT professional development program for the coming tenure period. The three-year program will include an induction session for all new members, a professional development week in May each year, and a series of jurisdictional webinars. To enable members to practice what they have learned throughout their tenure, there will be a functional and discussion-based exercise in the final year of the program.

Travel costs associated with attending program activities including flights, accommodation travel and meal allowances are covered by the program.

To book required flights, accommodation or hire car, please complete the travel request form below. Meal and travel (taxi, public transport, parking etc) expenses can be claimed back following the activity using the expenses claim form below.
Please note receipts are required for all costs being claimed and expense claim forms must be returned within 30 days of attending the activity.

Third Party Professional Development

The NBRT program may also support members to attend external activities that offer value to the individual and the program. This is determined on a case-by-case basis. Members that are supported to attend third party events are expected to complete a feedback form (available below) and may be asked to share their learnings with the cohort.

Some third-party professional development (PD) opportunities that are supported by the program are listed below. Members can also apply for the program to support their attendance at opportunities relevant to their role on the NBRT not listed below. To apply to access third party PD opportunities, please complete the PD nomination form below and return it to NBRT@animalhealthaustralia.com.au.
