This workshop is part of the broader NBRT professional development program for members. It aims to strengthen the preparedness of Australia’s national biosecurity system by increasing member capability to lead incident management and functional teams within a biosecurity and/or incident response. Members can expect five days of workshops intended to provide them with an understanding of national response arrangements whilst developing the critical skills required to lead incident management and functional teams during a response.

The workshop will cover a range of key topics, including team building, leadership, risk assessment, and managing stress and fatigue in high-pressure situations. Members will gain hands-on experience through site visits, practical activities and group discussions, while also benefiting from valuable insights shared by subject matter experts and past NBRT members during presentations and panel discussions.
