What we are doing:
We at Biosecurity Queensland have recently launched Core Groups for specialised biosecurity response functions/roles, including Incident Coordinator, Infected Premise Site Supervisor, Epidemiology, and Surveillance and Tracing. These groups aim to provide platforms for the group members to network and ultimately continue developing and maintaining the required skills for their roles.
I am currently working with the Incident Coordinator (IC) Core Group, which consists of approximately 20 staff across Biosecurity Queensland, and Agribusiness and Disaster Operations.

How you can help:
We are looking for experienced ICs who would be willing to join in one of our upcoming meetings as guest speakers. The session would run for about an hour and could feature either a single guest speaker or a panel discussion, depending on interest. The group would love to hear about experiences, challenges, insights, and lessons learned to help build their confidence and capability in performing the role.
